IgnITE Skills Challenge 2017
For the first time in Teck Whye Secondary School, Principles of Accounts (POA) students
from 4E1 took part in the IgnITE Skills Challenge 2017 held at ITE College West in May 2017.
A team consisting of Mohammed Muizz Ashhab Bhuiyan (4E1), Nur Aisyah Bte Mohamed Yayit (4E1) and Zienard Olazo Campaner (4E1) went through two rounds of competition against 50 teams from 18 other schools to become finalists of GET RICH $ IN ASEAN where participants had to compete to ‘grow’ their wealth amidst a changing economic and political climate. The team with the most earnings would walk away with the prize.
Team Teck Whye put up a good fight to be the Top ASEAN Trader in Foreign Exchange and emerged as Champions. Congratulations!

Gold Award for the Green Schools @ South West Programme in 2013.
The school is proud to have achieved the Gold Award for the Green Schools @ South West Programme in 2013.
Teck Whye Secondary School took part in GreenSchool@South West programme by SWCDC-NEA since 2010.
We participated in in All 5 modules under the programme
- Energy Efficiency and Climate Change
- Clean, dry and sparkling toilets
- A Litter-free environment
- A community that does not spread bugs
- 4R’s reduce, reuse, recycle and refuse
As a result of our active contribution and participation, we have managed to clinch the highest level of award (Gold) consecutively for the last three years. (2010,2011, 2012) and attained Sustained Gold Achievement for 2013.
Congratulations to all staff and students who have participated actively in the programmes to adopt and promote good environmental and public health habits.
